I've been making lots of models in wax. I have used the same oval form and having been playing around with idea of creating a suggestion of the form instead of the entire form.

I have also been looking at texture and layering to construct form.

North Lands

My first day at North Lands in Lybster, Scotland.

The first Master Class is with Anna Matouskova 'Building of Form'. The class project is to create a collaborative artwork where each student contributes a piece. We went on a field trip to a beautiful place called the Whalligeo Steps and it's from here that we took our inspiration. Looking at the landscape and the structures within it.

We each took clay with us and used it to take impressions of different textures within the environment. This is the plaster mold taken from my clay impressions and some waxes when we were back in the studio.
